While there are far less homes for sale than last year, sales are only up slightly in the Worthington area.  The graph and market report are for single family homes in the Worthington City School District.  The light green bars show the number of homes for sale for the past 15 months.  The dark green bars show home sale in the Worthington area for the past 15 months.

The Worthington City School District an area that includes the City of Worthington, the Village of Riverlea as well as neighborhoods in the City of Columbus and unincorporated areas in Perry and Sharon Townships.  The school district boundaries were in place before much of the Worthington school district was developed and much of it was annexed into the City of Columbus.

• Worthington homes for sale - 99 vs. 166 in December 2011
• Worthington homes sold - 36 vs. 35 in December 2011

That one more Worthington home sold in December 2012 than a year ago is an increase of 2.9% from December 2011.  There was 40.7% less homes available in Worthington in December 2012 than a year earlier.  

Compare Worthington's 2.9% increase in home sales to:

Franklin County, Ohio real estate - sales up .7%

Columbus Board of REALTORS mls - sales up 10.2%
