This is for my wood cutting friends!

For those of you who follow my blog, you know that I cut fire wood.

A LOT OF FIRE WOOD!!!

WE heat the entire house and my shop with just wood, unless we are gone for more than a day.

This work, as many people call it, saves me close to $5000 a year and about $45 a month in health club fees.

Because I cut a lot of wood, there is a fair amount of time involved so I am efficient with that time.  Although I do stack most of my wood I don't get creative like these folks.

But not everyone is as strapped for time as I am.  the attached pics will prove that.

WOOD CUTTERS....ENJOY!!!

This takes a lot of time!   There will be two more parts to this segment as it gets even more interesting.

William  Wow!  Thanks for sharing.  We live in Colorado and burn firewood almost every day.  We use a chimenea outdoors for the guests to enjoy plus our indoor fireplace.  I burn more wood than anyone in this county.  You gotta love artistic people.

I love this, what creativity.  I have an old caboose stove and would love to have someone else stack wood like this for me.  Haha, I don't think I would take the time to do this but I do have a couple of teenagers.  My favorite is the third one, the tree.

Bill -- never thought to get creative like that when we were burning wood at couple of our homes.  My problem would be, that having stacked is so nicely, where does one start to get wood from the stack without messing up the patterns?

That is an interesting use of firewood. I agree with Steven, I would never actually burn any of the wood!

This is just plain awesome.  We burn with wood also, but dont' have the time to do anything like this.  then who would want to destroy it.

Bill,

That looks so cool, I just love it.  Just another way to work wonders with wood.  I can tell you we have a wood pile for our woodstove....and it looks nothing like that!! Thanks for posting that, can't wait for the follow up!

As a Scoutmaster, I gotta say those are the fanciest wood piles I have ever seen!  How fun.  Keep them protected from moisture!

We used to chop wood when we were living in Los Gatos for fire wood too. Saves alot of expenses in the winter time when the snow and cold comes a calling!

Bill, very creative, but the tree on its side would have to be my favorite.

Some people have a great imagination.  But, I would hate to take it apart and burn it.

I am impressed William, when I  used to heat my home and office with wood, we spent way too much time just securing the 20-30 cords that we needed every winter, stacking it like this would have taken far too long.
