The Colorado Springs local MLS (Pikes Peak) reported a great statistic for buyers and sellers in the Pikes Peak region. The statistics for inventory for sale the end of year (2012) show 2900 active listings. The last time that the inventory here in Colorado Springs was this low was in January 2001.
This does not mean that sellers should automatically raise their prices. The real estate market continues to be transition and in a changing market. To best assess your home it is important to work in partnership with your Realtor and evaluate not only what the best sales comparisons are but also specific criteria about your home.
