The latest rumor is that the Dallas Cowboys will trade Marion Barber, our first round pick and second round pick to the Miami Dolphins so we can get Arkansas' Darren McFadden. What??
Why would we give up a Pro Bowler in Barber? Besides the fact that Jerry Jones is obsessed with his alma mater.
I think McFadden is a good player but I don't think it is a good move for Dallas. I wasn't impressed with McFadden during the Cotton Bowl when I saw him. And he is injury prone. There is no guarantee he will be a star. And if we are giving up so much then we need a guarantee(which isn't going to happen in the NFL).
Dallas needs a RB to compliment Barber. And I feel confident that we could get a good running back in the later rounds or even in free agency. I think we should be looking at Felix Jones or even Tony Temple in the draft. Barber is a power runner and we need a shifty quick guy as the 2nd back.
Let me know what you think? Should Dallas keep Barber or go for McFadden?
