Mid January and its close to 70 degrees!

I like nice weather. I think that when I win the lottery, I will move somewhere in the Caribbean and hang out in a tiki bar. Well, until then, the Atlanta area is being pretty nice to me! It was chilly here last week, but this weekend the temperatures are supposed to be in the low 70's! Global warming? Nah.

The average high this time of year is around 50. It was warmer than that this morning when I left the house. Some will say that we need the cold weather in the Winter to kill the VW sized mosquitoes we have here in the summer. That may be, but I don't care. Bring on the bugs. I will deal with that when I have too. In the meantime, bring me a little umbrella for my drink, please!

We don't ski here in the Atlanta area, so my feeling is that weather cold enough for snow would be totally wasted on us. I say we ship that weather off to those that can deal with it and enjoy it. When they even predict snow here everything stops and the grocery store shelves get cleaned out. So, I declare that Winter in Atlanta be about 4 weeks long then a return to Springtime is required. Who is with me on this one? Ok, I am going out to buy some suntan lotion. I will be back later!

I am in Chattanooga and love the heat wave! People are doing more things, going to more events and overall enjoying the winter. I love it!

Good morning again Peter. I like the snow and the winter but this strange weather is a welcome break and very nice too. Enjoy the day.

I'm in Virginia - after 12 years (at least 4 winters too many!) on the coast of Maine - and I AM WITH YOU!!! I say bring on Spring! My feeling is some nice chilly "Christmas-y" weather is appropriate until just after the first of the New Year....then...bring on sprinttime!!!

Looking forward to daffodils popping their heads up after a SHORT winter's nap!

Peter, we're also enjoying a respite from the cold...love that the electric meter isn't spinning like crazy and we can take a break on heating costs at least briefly.
