Thanks, Steven.  My cousin is involved in this at the Braidwood Ace store ... so trying to do my part to give some attention to their efforts.  I agree, it's a great effort ...

Tammie:  With the cost of proms skyrocketing, I agree that this effort is extremely timely.  Hoping the post aids the effort being made in honor of these two young girls ...

Gene, They seem like strange bedfellows, but I like it!!  I worked in one of those Hardware/everything type stores when I was little.  I wanted to sales but the owner insisted I do stock.  One day I was listening to him when a customer came in and asked for some grass seed, he said sure, and would you like a Lawnmower with that?  A little upset the guy says, I JUST want the grass seed, My boss says, well your gonna plant the seed, the seed is going to grow and the lawnmowers are on sale so I thought Id offer.  He takes both!  I know I can do this, I beg to take the next customer.  Man walks in and says he needs a box of Tampons, I say would you like a Lawn mower with that, He says, why in the world would I need a lawnmower, I said, "I figure your weekends shot anyway, you might as well mow the lawn!

Be well my firend!

Gene - I have always loved this idea.  I remember my daughter has several dresses in her closet long after she moved out and the local dry cleaners was collecting them to give away.  Off they went - only worn once but hopefully to be worn many more times.

Gene, that sounds like a very nice idea, but agree withGlenn...an odd place to collect prom dresses. By the way, I'm meeting a couple from Joliet this weekend to show them a few houses.
