Marketing Luxury Real Estate:Skiing on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills

skiing in beverly hills

Once a month, we have a meeting in Beverly Hills.  We always get there early to avoid traffic, have a fresh bagel right out of the oven, and peruse Rodeo Drive's latest luxury windows.   For us, it is a study/lesson in branding and seeing how our friends in the luxury industry are marketing themselves and their products

up close ski gear in beverly hills

This morning delighted us with the Jeddhi/Darth Vader look.  And no doubt the force would be with you in a white on white ski outfit, and keep away the dark forces with that formidable helmet goggle gear. What a way to be noticed on the hills, and given the design of the helmet, not a hair would be out of place.

Wishing you all a great Thursday, Cheers, Ron & Alexandra

Ron and Alexandra - I love window shopping in the high-end market.  If you're going to dream, it should always be in the luxury mode! I haven't seen this latest ski look in our area, so I'll keep my eyes open for it!  Great photo!

Ron & Alexandra ~ most importantly the branding jumps out. You can tell this is signaling high end just from the entrance of the shop; the lighting, colors and name.

Andrew,

Yoda is very wise to speak with you.  What an outfit, you could be a celeb under that gear.  I have noticed in our many ski trips, that these fabulous looks are not seen in the trees or on black diamond runs, let alone on intermediate.  They are for styling not for skiing, in my humble opinions.

Sharon,

It is lovely and very upscale, and I did not ask as the store was closed, but I figured, if you had to ask, you cannot afford it...LOL

Laura,

Well, I would love to know, if you see any of these get ups.  Just spent time in Utah, and I did not see anything remotely like it.

Kristal,

Ah, yes I did, the way the letters are brought together, it looks like ski tracks.  On Rodeo Drive, all these things pop out at you.

John,

And may the force be with you and the lovely Debbie.  Have a great evening. A

Alexandra, I admit it looks a bit weird to me but the I'm not much of a Star Wars fan. It does get people's attention.

Hi Ron & Alexandra - That's an interesting look, I'll have to keep my eye out for it on the slopes this year. I've always been a jeans skier myself - a kind of reverse snobbery with a culture all its own.

Hi Alexandra, Great window shots of Moncler. The tops of the ski outfits look to be fur, very original. The helmet would definitely make one stand out on the slopes.

Strange looking creature, Alexandra. Is this what they will be wearing walking Rodeo Dr?

ROY,

You are welcome, we really enjoy all aspects of our work.

SILVIA,

It looks weird to me too, and I would not want that helmet.  When we skied in December, many wore helmets, and I still like just a ski cap.  Neither one of us is a daredevil skier, and are not prone to falling.

DICK,

Jeans? Yikes?  I am freezing even with long johns and ski pants, and in Utah or Colorado jeans would not provide much warmth unless you wear ski overalls.  You are right about jeans being a reverse snobbery, heck, it is all such fun as far as we are concerned, and I know the better and more expensive outfits are to be seen in on the bunny hill or in the lodge.

WILLIAN,

Thanks, yes, it was some kind of fur, and my guess was racoon fur.  And the helmet would be fun for 2 minutes.

ENDRE,

OK, I will give you a heads up, and let's definitely meet up for lunch...Yes, we are consistent about this, we have to stay in the know and snow!  A

Toni,

I could for 2 minutes, howver, since I am not famous, it would be silly on my part, besides, I don't care how my hair looks.  A
