That's funny, I must admit that I am not a big fan of how it sounds pronounced either way, but most folks do say realitor or realator.

That's one of the things that annoy the crap out of both of us.  There is no such thing as a Real-A-tor, Real-I-tor or what have you.  It's like dragging fingernails across a chalkboard to us.
