It's funny how question 5 talks about credit repair companies.  Of course, NO ONE can remove items from a credit report except for the bureaus that are reporting it.  We CAN get the reports cleaned up in most cases by disputing the accuracy of the reports.  It shows how scared the bureaus are of credit repair companies.  Reason being, when someone holds them to the letter of the FCRA and FDCPA it costs them money!  Trust me on this one.  That is their only motivation.  Plain and simple, they are scared out of their minds that companies are out there getting inaccuracies off of credit reports.  Considering 79% of the time their reports are inaccurate, somebody needs to.  My company gets half the people that go through the process into home loans - when they complete the whole process.
