In Memory of Colorado Springs REALTOR John Arends (1947-2008)

I know that many local real estate agents, as well as local homeowners read what gets posted here on Active Rain, so this is a message to all of you...

Sadly, John Arends of ReMax Properties passed away January 26, 2008 - just 6 days after his 61st birthday.

He is survived by his wife (and REALTOR) Judy, 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren, and preceded in death by another daughter.

We have worked with John and his wife Judy on several occasions in our real estate career, and our experiences have always been great. He will be truly missed.

If you wish to pay your respects to one of the most influential and well respected REALTORS in Colorado Springs, there will be a memorial service in memory of John Arends:

I had met John and Judy at several RE/MAX events in Colorado. They were always giving of their time and expertise. You could tell just by talking with them how professional their business was run. My condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences to his family also.

I was just told that they were behind the creation of one of the major firework celebrations - which they started 20 years ago as well. Both John and Judy were such integrated parts of our community.

How sad he was so young. My condolences to his family.

I wash shocked to hear the news about John. I worked for John when I first came to Colorado Springs. He and his family befriended me and my son. They even took us to an Air Force game one Saturday. I was Amy Sullivan at the time, but married Alan Brooker in 1992.

I will never forget his kindness and my heart goes out to his family.
