2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2008:  While 68,657 of you are asleep in your beds, 25 of us are cruising your blogs, looking for inspiration, encouragement, insight, and laughs.  12 are insane enough to have clicked the little button that lets others see when we're online.  (For Newbies, it's under Settings on your home page.)

Here's what I found:  (and if you can't read a post from my list, it's Members Only.  Active Rain is free.  Just join up!)

So there you go!  I do the hard work, and you get to sleep.  Life's just not fair sometimes.  LOL

And that's the real estate opinion of this Tucson, Arizona mortgage lender,

Good morning Mike,
Oh shoot!  I was going to comment that now I'm doing the work and you are sleeping but I just checked and you are here now too!  Do you ever sleep.  BTW, 852 online, 45 logged in.

Mike, you're like CNN.  News never stops and gosh darn it - you are there to report it!  Seriously though, thanks for the post.  I may have very well overlooked the posts that you mentioned since they are now buried somewhere deep!

Mike - thanks for pointing out another wonderful feature of Active Rain!  But what about all of us that forget to log out when we do go to sleep?  Is there an automatic time out feature?  Or is it possible to be snoozing while getting some "face time"?
5:20am • #3

Penny: I don't sign off and my picture wasn't up, so yes, there must be a 'face time' limit. I was on around 3am.

Which leads to the answer to a question I was meaning to ask, but Mike's post has effectively answered I believe. That is why are the number of photos are not the same as the number of members logged in. I think I get it now.

But I don't get the number not logged in on site. Any answers?

Mike, You must be nocturnal.  I recently had a comment from someone here in our Bradenton - Sarasota, Florida area that knows you.  Perhaps they are related.  Sorry...I don't remember.  I told them I was a subscriber to your blog.

Mike--Are you one of those people who can survive on only a couple of hours of sleep? Not me...I was in the majority--sleeping majority!

Mike, the wonderful thing about being awake in the middle of the night is how peaceful it really is.  No worries about the phone ringing or those emails that demand a quick response.  Instead, you can blow the hours away catching up with what people are doing on AR.  The other choice is to just GO TO SLEEP!  I enjoy nothing more than watching the sun come up in the morning, but sleep time is precious, so turn of your computer and shut your eyes!  Enjoyed the post and hope you have a blessed day.  Peace!

Mike -

When do you sleep !! It really is the best time to concentrate and take in most of the information without phones, kids, pets, etc......

Thanks for sharing what you found - Have a great day and be properous

I need my sleep, I need my caffeine, and I need my Active Rain -- not necessarily in that order!  I hope you get all three of those today, Mike.

I logged on the other night and it said 7526 members online. Thats right - over 7,000. I rubbed my eyes, but it was still there. I had never seen it over about 2500 before. Maybe I was dreaming.

Ok Mike, you are even logged on as I write this comment!  What do you do, just leave Active Rain open and never log off, is that your trick? LOL  I think the 2:30 a.m. time frame is one of the best times to be on AR but I'm keeping my 5 year old and 2 year old grandchildren so sleep is very precious this week.

Mike...Thanks for the tip about the button.  I'm going to check my settings.  Who knows what I did or did not click when I was wet behind the ears.

Don't forget some of us live in a different time zone.  I think you're two hours behind me but I can't even keep up with what time it is in my zone.  All I know is sometimes I am up at ungodly hours running around in the Rain.  I'll be looking for you.

Cheers,

P.S.  Thanks for the tips...I'm off to do some reading.

Mike In Tucson,

I truly enjoy your enthusiasm (from Greek "enthios" = God within). You have brought more people out of their shells and into the light of fellowship than anyone I know. Thanks. Say Hello to Johnny Wyatt one of these days. And try to read a Baxter Black cowboy poetry book while walking some Benson Horse Property.

I think I left my button checked to on since that is how you found me..  Thanks for the different links, things do seem to get buried pretty quickly, so quick sometimes I can't even find my own.

On the other side of the coin, I noticed you always have a signature line in your post, can you point me in the right direction on whre to find how to do that or tell me how either one?

Thanks

Bonnie,

I'm not sure what you're asking, and I'd be glad to help if you'll give me a little more information.  Are you referring to my Mike in Tucson brand, or to the signoff line and that's the real estate opinion of this Tucson, Arizona mortgage lender, or to something else.  Let me know, and like I said, I'll be glad to help.

I was talking about the part that says the following.

Mike in Tucson
Mike Jones (Tucson Mortgage Company, LLC): Loan Officer in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona

Sorry that I didn't make myself real clear, and then I was gone all day doing my real job,

I was wanting to know if there was somewhere that you could store a signature line here in activerain?

Does that make sense.

Thanks,

Bonnie

Okay, Bonnie.  I understand what you want to do.  It's real easy.

1.  Type your name, and make the text bold in the comment or post you are writing.  Use Shift/Enter to move the cursor directly under your name without leaving extra space between your name the the "view my profile" link you're about to add.

 2.  Open a new window for Active Rain.  Go to your Home page, and scroll down to the bottom left.  Click on "Link to Active Rain."  Scroll down to the links.  Pick one and highlight it by clicking your cursor to the left of the link, (not on it) and, holding down the left mouse button, drag the cursor to the right until the link is selected.  It will look like the image to the right.

3.  Copy the link  (Control C)

4.  Go back to the Active Rain window with the comment or post you left open, and paste the link under your name.  (Control V)

That's all there is to it.  I hope that helps.
