Morning Coffee

Sitting here sipping on a hot cup of coffee in the early morning hours, I think about my morning routine. I have two young boys that are on a set schedule and love the consistency of it. I too can relate, my mornings start between 0500 and 0530 everyday doing my research and reading.

This is where the coffee comes in handy. Even after a long day the day before with a short night, there is nothing better than enjoying the morning with a nice hot cup of coffee. I have found that being consistent with this schedule helps me to stay a step ahead throughout the day. With so many things to know in our business besides the current transactions that we are working, I have found these mornings the best time to learn and stay on top of current real estate topics.

Now I know most people enjoy the warmth and comfort of their beds in the AM hours, but I can't help but enjoy the peace and quiet of the early morning hours. With a cup of coffee.

Nice post Ryan - and a reminder not to take a morning schedule for granted!

Living in Chicago, I was never up any earlier than need be. My coffee was to go, as were most of our dinners during the week. Now, living in Missouri, my husband and I might go through two pots of coffee before the kids even get up. In the summer, the back deck looks out over the pasture and in the winter we can still sit in the kitchen and look out... At night, our habit has turned to hot tea in winter, ice tea in the summer. Even after eight years, I am still fascinated by all the stars!

Ryan - you are up way too early for me! :-) I'm a night owl. I'd stay up until 1am if I could sleep until 9am everyday but that isn't going to work! But I agree with you that a shot of caffeine is always needed in the morning. Dr. Pepper is my drink of choice.

Yeah, you do get up way to early for me too. I'm just getting into my good sleep pattern about then. I've always been an insomniac...not by choice-just function better at night!
