Northwood Village is a mature established neighborhood in the North Four Corners area of Silver Spring, Maryland 20901. The Northwood Village subdivision is just north of the Northwood Park neighborhood next to the large, popular North Four Corners Local Park. Northwood Village is part of the North Four Corners Citizens Association.
The houses in Northwood Village are small, cute post World War II brick cape cods, ranches and ramblers. The homes were built between 1948 and 1956 in the post war building boom. They are solidly built brick homes with hardwood floors. Some of the houses have fireplaces and some of the homes have had renovations Baths and other additions added over the years. There were 238 single family homes built in Northwood Village.
Northwood Village is communter convenient. With a location just seconds to an entrance to the Capitol Beltway (495), one can be anywhere in the Washington DC and Baltimore Metro Areas with relative ease.
