This Friday is the first Late Night of 2013 at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) and the DMA is celebrating its 110th birthday. Come and join in the first celebration of the year! Gallery tours, demonstrations, music, food,and drink will make it a fun evening for visitors of all ages.
Music for the evening will be provided by Brave Combo, Gordon McLeod, and Sahara Smith. Food and drinks will be available for purchase in the DMA Cafe located in the Atrium at the north end of the building.
This is the last weekend to see the "Posters of Paris: Toulouse-Lautrec and His Contemporaries" Exhibit, as it closes on January 20, 2013. Save some time to enjoy the Poster Studio located in the education room at the end of the "Posters of Paris" exhibit. People of all ages can create an original poster inspired by the "Toulouse-Lautrec" Exhibit. Museum Staff will make a copy of your poster so that you can hang one on the museum wall and take one home for your own enjoyment!
Visitors are invited to construct their own original sculpture using found objects provided by the DMA. John Hernandez will provide workshops for sculpture students of all ages!
Children will enjoy Yoga with Becky Hines and Bedtime Stories with Arturo. Stories will be told by Ann Marie Newman. Remember that the kids can wear their PJs and bring a pillow!
