Cabela known for its hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor recreation merchandise recently revealed its plans to open a new store in Greenville. This new retail store is also their first store in South Carolina and is expected to open in spring of 2014.
Fishing, camping and hunting enthusiast will find the company’s move to Greenville favorable. Cabela's unique retail experience is a great fit for Greenville. Wildlife displays and wall mounts from local hunts or decors related to Upstate wildlife will be included in the store giving it a local touch. Cabela’s distinctive look to their retail operations will surely attract people and will also bring job opportunities.
The 100,000 sq. ft. store exterior will still reflect Cabela’s signature log construction stonework, wood siding and metal roofing. It will be located in Magnolia Park, atop the old Greenville Mall site at the junction of Interstates 85 and 385, and Woodruff Road. Local community will benefit when the store opens because it will employ 235 full- and part-time employees.
Cabela is excited to expand their retail footprint in the Southeast. At present, the company has 40 retail stores across the country and Canada.
