BlogAnother Blogging Tip:  Customer Questions Make Great Blogging Topics!

If you're going to blog frequently, one of the challenges will be what to write about.  The good news?  Your clients and prospects are going to supply you ideas!  That's right, chances are questions asked you by your clients and potential clients aren't just information that ONLY they want to know!  Nope, there are common interests across most home sellers and buyers, and they're coming right to your email, phone and right between the ears during face to face conversations.

Now you COULD just answer that question once and be done, OR you could take that email response you wrote and do some editing to make it into a blog post, and then gets miles and miles of use out of it.  The next time someone asks you the same question, it's easy to pull the link to the blog post and provide them exactly what they're looking for!  It's one of the things we love about doing market reports, do the work ONCE a month, and you're covered until the next edition!

So be ready to write when someone asks you:

  • How's the real estate market?
  • How long will it take to sell my home?
  • What's the homestead exemption?
  • Where are the parks? schools? restaurants?
  • Where do I find condos? Pool communities? Developments with no HOA fee?
  • What's the average cost of a home in _________?

This list could go on almost indefinitely.  You get the idea, those are not questions typically that only ONE person ever will want to know about, right?  So why not get some extra OOOMPH out of your responses to those questions?  Write a post, and the consumers WILL find it because you're answering what they want to know at a local level!  That's the gap that MSN, Yahoo, ZTR and the rest can't address, the local expertise.  That's YOUR turf & how you make your phone ring!

Keep on Blogging!

Liz and Bill - no problem with that! Besides, your great post needs to stay long on the view roll. It has great information.

Wallace - I agree. Sometimes, the inquiries of our clients can be transformed into great blogging topics. Aside form answering the question of a specific client, it can also provide information to others who might be seeking answers to the same question.
