Hibiscus, Longwood Gardens

Hibiscus blooms are always good subjects for flower photographers.  And one place to find a variety of beautify hibiscus plants is in the Conservatory at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

My wife, Dolores, asked me to share one of her favorite photographs with you.

Have a great day and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture those special moments.

Roy, I lived in Florida when I was small ond one of my memories was of the hibiscus flowers. I loved the way they looked but I can tell you I have never seen one as beautiful as this one. Incredible.

Roy, Ilove hibiscus flowers...was growing a beautiful one that we purchased in Maryland, but alas it didn't last.... perhaps they do not like the hot sun as we had it on our patio in Annandale VA.

Hi Roy, These look like the giant variety. The ones I saw there were about 12/14 inches across the center.

Hi Roy, I"ve never seen a hibiscus that was that colorful.    I've always thought they were gorgeous flowers.   I'm trying to get one to survive the Colorado winter in my kitchen.  Even the kitchen seems to be a little too cold for it.  Since they are shrub type of plants, I'm hoping it bounce back later this spring.
