LightHouse of Jesus Christ, a church in Georgetown, is planning a major musical production to commemorate three church members who died in a car crash last year.

The five-vehicle crash on Nov. 14, 2012 killed four people in on U.S. 17 A near the Jamestown city limits, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Edith Jackson, 55, and Angie Arthur, 45, both of Georgetown, and Melvira Johnson, 51, of Loris were killed while riding in a van from the church. Steven Morse, 36, of Jamestown was driving another vehicle involved and also died.

The church plans to announce more details about the musical production on Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. at the church located at 159 Johnson Road in Georgetown.

John Arthur, Angie’s husband, will also be honored. Marilyn Hemingway, with the church, said John Arthur was in the car and is still recovering from critical injuries sustained in the crash.

The loss of the women meant the loss of family breadwinners, Hemingway said, and the church intends the announce plans allowing the community to donate funds to help the families financially.
