Home Buyers Why Did You Hire Me? Yes, I know you appreciate my honesty, forthrightness and knowledge of
the towns you would like to buy in. Could there be other reasons beyond working with me before on a home sale, neighborhood facts, valuation needs and good mortgage direction? Perhaps. So why will you not let me do my job for you?

Running here, there and yonder is becoming obsessive with some home buyers. Just because your house lease is up in a reasonable time frame it is not a reason to buy right now. Yes, I am saying this as your buyers agent. The best time to buy a piece of RI real estate is when it is right for you. Looking at homes way above your price points does not work since you can afford what you can afford. Yes, many homes are overpriced and they are priced where they are because the seller is not motivated to sell cheaper...yet.
Home needs that include: updated home, granite kitchen, newer windows and exterior items, good neighborhood, lower taxes, not on a double line road mean that you are one of a couple of dozen buyers competing for the same home. What does this mean to you? You need to be able to free your schedule to look at the home for sale the same day as it goes on the market. You have competition! I have your back remember that as your buyer's agent. I will send an instant message to you to alert you to new home possibilities. Then we will be out to see them that evening or the next day. Yes, we need to be proactive!
Have a better idea why you hired me? It was not to run around looking at homes out of your price range, in the wrong neighborhoods or not updated homes. You as home buyers set the parameters for buying and were not flexible on many items. Let's look a month or so before you see that sometimes flexibility in home buying needs to be part of the buying equation. You can always discuss these home buying 'aha' moments as we visit homes.
