Beach Grove elementary is the school of choice for those living in the northern beachfront areas in Beach grove and along Boundary Bay. Though its a smaller school, Beach Grove is known for its outstanding elementary programs and focus on artistic expression and technology integration, with many of the classes in the school having their own websites.
In the southwestern corner of Tsawwassen is English Bluff elementary, a school dedicated to pursuing not just education but life-long learning goals. With approximately 250 students attending English Bluff, it is one of the smaller schools in the area, but it is known for quality instruction and for building upon previous instruction to teach students lasting lessons.
Finally, there is Pebble Hill Traditional elementary. Unlike the other schools in the area, Pebble Hill places a heavy emphasis on traditional, formal educational practices. This includes mandatory school uniforms for all students, traditional greetings towards adults, and an ambitious and challenging educational framework. Pebble Hill has more than 200 students attending, and lies the furthest south in Tsawwassen, only a few blocks from the Canada-USA border.
Of course, no school district is made of only elementary schools. For older students in Tsawwassen, there is South Delta Secondary school, serving more than 1,000 students from grades 8 to 12. SDSS is known for producing students that go on to be successful in a variety of fields, and also has had a number of champion athletic programs. And with popular drama, fine arts and media programs, SDSS prepares students for all walks of life.
One other option for schooling in Tsawwassen is Southpointe Academy, a prestigious and exclusive private school for K-12 students. With a focus on small class sizes, frequent reports home to parents, and a stress on arts, technology and global education, Southpointe is a good choice for those looking for something beyond a standard public education.
