Right Back Where I Started and That's a Good Thing

Charita Cadenhead Keller Williams RealtySome of you may or may not have noticed my new "temporary" blog header.  Well if you didn't, you do now since I've mentioned it right?

Due to a variety of reasons (personal and professional), I decided to give up property management and return to real estate sales only.  Although property management can be profitable, it's just not as FUN as selling real estate.

By shutting down the property management end of my business, I so looking forward to having more time for myself and my family for which admittedly property management made be borderline neglectful of a family life.

In just the few short weeks that I assigned my PM accounts to another company, I am more excited than I've been in a very long time.  I have far more energy and my stress level is virtually ZERO and that's the ABSOLUTE best part.

I always knew that if I closed the doors to Bham WIiRE Realty, I'd go straight back to Keller Williams.  Afterall, I didn't leave Keller Williams because of any dislike of the company.  I left because I wanted to manage rental  properties and the KW office was just not up for that.

One thing that I am really excited about is returning to my role as facilitator of The Millionaire Real Estate Investor workshops (MREI) based on Gary Keller's best selling book of the same name.  Hopefully, I'll get that kicked off by mid-February and target new investors in the local Birmingham market. As a matter of fact, the MREI gave birth to Bham WIiRE.  Originally we were a group of women interested in investing in real estate.  Each month, I would host MREI meetings and that was a ton of fun.

My website will remain www.bhamwiire.com for the time being considering that it's meaning still holds true.  I am a Bham (Birmingham) Woman Investing in Real Estate (WIiRE).  I'm just really glad I didn't name the site bhamwiirerealty.com which isn't as transportable.  I've had some thoughts about moving my website and using www.charitacadenhead.com but I have some reservations about loosing all of my SEO value.  Please feel free to share your opinions on that if you don't mind.

At any rate, this move is just another journey in my life for which I am glad to have come "full circle."  Wish me luck as I set upon yet another adventure in the life and times of yours truly, Charita H. Cadenhea.

Do whatever makes you happy & I can tell it took too much of your family time. Just don't do anything to hurt your current SEO because you've worked so hard.  There are many posts here on AR that gave good suggestions on what to do/remember when you change companies - look a few up.

Might also just point a few of your sites to the new one.

Good to hear Karen and thank you for the well wishes.

Thanks Karen Anne.  I am getting a lot of compliments on the card.  I really like it a lot too.

Thanks Sharon.  No Family Reunion this year.  But next year for sure.  Thanks for the kudos on the biz card.

Thanks Bill......me too.

Tni I know right?  I hadn't thought about the New Year and the New Move, but your right.  It's one heck of a way to kick off the new year.

Thanks Lyn.  Happiness is at the top of the list.  I'll research those resources on AR for sure.

The new picture is fantastic - both professional and friendly. (And pretty)

I congratulate you on your decision to take back your life. Extra dollars in your pocket can't make up for living under stress - or neglecting the people you love.

As for your site, if I were you I'd keep it. People are used to finding you there, and you don't want to confuse them. One of my clients took on partners and a new URL - and now you can type in either address and go straight to his site. Not being techie, I don't know how it all works, but I'm sure you have people in your circle who do.

Congratulations on the change!  The experience and knowledge you have managing property will be an added value to your future real estate clients I'm sure.  I love that you teach the MREA as well.  We teach it in our Market Center at least twice a year and even though I've read it multiple times, I always glean something new (or more accurately, something I've forgotten)  Best of luck to you!
