On those rare days when there is no sunset down on Carmel Beach, an alternative is to take a stroll at dusk through Carmel-by-the-Sea's Village. Everything pretty much is shut down by 6 PM, but window shopping is a delight. Everything sparkles and entices.
A couple of comments that come to mind on my stroll this evening. See the shoe store photo? That reminds me that HIGH HEELS ARE ILLIGAL in Carmel. Yes, one of those "Blue Laws" except it makes sense here. With all the trees, the sidewalks can be pretty bumpy from their root systems. So when you wear high heels and take a tumble, well, the city is not liable.
I noticed a couple of sales, one for women's and another for men's clothes. That does not happen often here in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Need to check that out tomorrow when the stores are open.
Carrigg's is a favorite with furnishings, interiors and bedding. Maybe they have some specials as well?
Next to the shoes, is COACH, which has sales usually just before Christmas. Maybe check it out also.
Candy. How have I forgotten it is there and now it is closed. Tomorrow is another day. I don't leave until Friday, so must get some serious shopping done before I leave.
And finally, ART IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER. Below is one that caught my eye!!!!
Reminder to get my girlfriends together for a glass of wine before I leave.
