-are you confused yet I don't blame you there are iPads, Android and now Windows RT or full Windows 8, what's the difference?

FIrst of all, I have been saying that you should get a Windows 8 because that would be most powerful, however, as it turns out nothing really has come out yet, that really stands out as a worthwhile.

So, what's a Realtor to do?

Here's a quick analysis (based on my business needs - your mileage may vary):

IPads are ubiquitous, and has a lot of support, but lack in one area for me, Penn input is terrible, almost no matter which way you turn it, when compared to a resistive type input that is similar to a pen. I bring this up since I tend to use tablets to sign documents...

Android is a really mixed bag, and I'm going to just limit it to the Samsung note 10.1, pen input, multiple Windows, there are a lot of upsides.

Windows... Ok, so the tablets at the $500 are running an Intel netbook processor. Internet and day to day work its a good solution. Note that many of these devices comes with 64 gb storage. The operating system will take up about half of that... so upgrade if you need to save docs locally.

Windows RT does not allow legacy programs, so anything you have on a cd well not run.

Windows 8 doors allow legacy programs.

To me, one of the biggest take away from the tablet idea, is that these are devices made to work off the cloud, so making sure you have access to connectivity at all time becomes critical.
