Yesterday was one of those crazy busy days, and last night I realized that today was really, really likely to also be kind of a whirlwind. So I resolved to get an extra early start, and see if I couldn't pull off a miracle and maybe get all the essentials done by midday so I could take a little break before the REST of a crazy week gets here.

So I texted a friend that I was hoping I could manage to just work half a day today.....

Obviously I was no where NEAR specific enough because apparently the universe heard me say "Half Day" and thought I meant I only wanted to work 12 hours today! LOL

Well played, universe. Well played.

Nancy, yes, it just goes to show ya. Be specific. In this case you got what you wanted... in fact maybe you got too much of it. It just isn't all that easy to turn off the activity when you want to, and turn it back on later. Darn!

Nancy I had to laugh and share my morning so far with you....and it's only 9:27! Got an urgent call at 6 from a nervous first time buyer who works out of town. Had to deal with faxing him something to hotel as his computer wasn't working. He retured the fax and then paper was off to listing agent and title. Because I had an 8:00 final walk through I needed to make sure all was done with the 1st timer! Let the dog out...and cat sneaks out too. OMG. Now what - I can't leave the cat outside cause he freaks!

Go to the 8:00 walk through (it's raining which is unepected here) and the listing agent has taken off the lock box. Are you kidding me? Clients and I make arrangements to meet between my other clients today - and I have to teach a CE class today. Whew!! Turned on the news and saw there was some kind of HUGE squat situation at some guys house. Like a really big deal.

It was then I thought.....hey....my morning is quiet compared to that! It's all how we look at it!!!

Hi Karen Anne - yes, I did pretty much get what I asked for - LOL. And truthfully the clients I was working with are some of my favorites, so it was all good to be busy helping them!

Carol, usually if I have a day that SEEMS like it won't be very busy, I don't say that out loud - instant craziness usually jumps into my plans for the day if I do. :)

Oh Anna - I had to laugh out loud at your description of your morning (and yes, it's still early at that!) so far! Sounds like you might have a "half day" in store. But you're right about it all being perspective, and anything real estate sounds WAY better than what's going on at the guy's house on the news! Hope the rest of your day goes smoothly and well!
