This weathered, old, battered, scraggly looking tree reminds me of life in real estate sometimes. Alright, maybe it even reminds me of some amazing Realtor’s that have been in the business since the 70’s or early 80’s. It is a survivor.
Real estate can be a very hard business. No matther how hard as we try, we can’t create a situation in which every client has a smooth closing on the house of their dreams.
For starters – many dream houses are just that. Dreams. For example, it is pretty darn hard for the first time home buyers to buy a newer three bedroom home on about 50 acres of mountain property that is fenced, has a four stall horse barn and has a stream running through it. Of course, the property needs to be within 20 minutes of town and cost less than $200,000. No matter how nice and sweet the couple is, these homes just don’t exist in this price range in the Colorado Springs and/or the Denver Metro areas.
This tree has had a tough life. However, LOOK AT THE VIEW it has!
The real estate profession is not for the faint hearted. However, the postives associated with this business are amazing.
We can’t tailor make the situations in life, but we can tailor make the attitude to fit them –
