Cosmopolitan Las Vegas to finish 3000 seat Auditorium.

One thing I love about Nevada especially Las Vegas is that there is always something new going on. City Center is back in the news. This time it’s not about windows melting stuff or a building that can’t be used. This time the news is an auditorium that has sat unfinished for 3 years is now going to be completed.

The 3000 seat 65,000 sqft. venue at the Cosmopolitan should be open by the end of the year.  It will be called Chelsea, which is the name being used for the current Ballroom that will be renamed.

Is there a need for another auditorium? It’s not the 12000 seat venue at Mandalay Bay so maybe a smaller place will draw some business. They are looking to use the space for conventions or even boxing. The City Center is an area I tend to skip myself so maybe that’s exactly the reason why they decided to move forward with this project now, to get more people in the door. I guess this time next year we shall see. I'll have to check it out on one of my trips down.

Hi Rob,

A smaller venue can be an asset to any city. Not just Vegas or Reno. All good.

Have a great day in Reno my friend.

Thanks for the Comment Clint. Our biggest here is 12,000 seats and the next is 7,000 seats and I know we have a 1500 seat. So maybe a 3000 seat would work here. These are not including any Casino facilities. I might have to make a trip down just to "inspect" it when done.
