Polar Plunge At Zaxby's In Clayton, NC To Benefit The Special Olympics.
Just in time, the weather in Clayton,NC has turned Polar-Like for the brave souls who will be flinging themselves into a swimming pool of cold water in the parking lot of the Zaxby’s Restaurant on Hwy 70 in Clayton. I’ll bet there are a few who thought they would only have to endure the normally mild North Carolina weather of maybe 55 or 60 degrees, but Mother Nature has a treat in store!
The Polar Plunge is a big fund raising opportunity for the NC Special Olympics and they do it in lakes, pools, water parks, the ocean, but for those without a large body of water they set up a large portable swimming pool full of icy water.
The plunge is on Saturday January 26th 2013 from 12-3 and my fellow Realtor Lisa Sacca’s daughter Bryanna Sacca is taking the plunge and raising money for the Special Olympics, if you would like to help her with her fund raising here is the link to her fundraising page.
The parking lot of the Zaxby’s at 12857 U.S. Hwy 70, Clayton, NC 27520 is the place to be Saturday, January 26th 2013, where Chad LaRose of the Carolina Hurricanes and Stormy and the Storm Squad will be on hand to get the participants pumped up and brave enough to jump, and maybe they’ll warm them up afterwards.
