SAHBA Parade of Homes in Marana Az the first Custom New Home Event in over 20 years
SAHBA, Southern Arizona Homebuilder Associationis hosting the Parade of Homes in Marana just North of Tucson and nestled in the Tortollita Mountains, from the 2nd of February to the 17th of February 2008 in the subdivision called Sonoran Preserve
Custom land lots are also available for sale within the Community with no restricted timing for building.
Sonoran Preserve is a new subdivision, and is located close to Dove Mountain and the new Ritz Carlton Resort in Marana. It is also across the street from Butterfly Mountain and West of Saguaro Ranch
Buses will take people from Dove Mountain to the Parade of Homes Event.
The Parade is the first of its kind for 20 years, and will feature custom new homes priced over a million dollars. It will give the general public an opportunity to see new architectural styling, innovative technological advances such as voice operated heating and cooling systems, green building techniques such as recycled carpet materials, water conservation techniques, solar panels, scored concrete flooring, the latest in luxury kitchen and bathroom design, the latest in outdoor living, and even a roof top putting green! The putting green must be geared towards those that are attending the Accenture Match Play Golf Championship at the end of February at the Gallery Golf Club in Dove Mountain!

Each home will carry the Energy Star Guarantee as the Event is partially sponsored by Southwest Gas amongst other sponsors such as the Ferguson's Appliance store.
The Custom New Builders in Tucson that participate must meet SAHBA's standards of at least 3 years of continuous building experience in the area to participate in the Event, and also they must have no unanswered or unresolved complaints either with SAHBA, or the Registrar of Contractors in Arizona.
New Home Builders that are participating are Casa Bonitas Development, J D Raney Construction who have a largee 5800 square ft home, Bauer Homes, Becklin Construction, Lathrem Homebuilders, Canatsey Building and Development, and Washburn Custom Builders

The SAHBA Parade of custom homes will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the event. Tickets for the event can be purchased at the site for $12 each with a discount of $2 for seniors 50 and older. Children 12 and younger are free.
