Becoming Increasingly Enamored With iPiccy as a Photo Editing Tool

Having Photo Editing Fun With iPiccy

Pacific Grove

I’m having a rare pleasantly quiet weekend, with time to experiment with iPiccy, as a photo-editing tool.

The more I work with this application, the more I enjoy what it has to offer.

With the following photo of the California Coastline, I played with the “textures” and “lights” realms.

IPiccy provides a variety of selections when it comes to these, and it’s great fun to find those, which work best with pictures you are editing.

And, it’s FREE!

Great photo--edited with iPiccy.  I love the program, too, but I have not done what this shot illustrates.

Yes, this would look fantastic framed.  I love the views you have in CA.

Myrl,

That photo looks like it could be a mural. It's so beautiful! You did an exceptional job. It truly is a beautiful photo and would look great hanging up most anywhere. It looks like a place where I'd want to retire too!

Call it Myrl's Paradise!!!

I did not realize until you pointed it out to me, Myrl, that you can just drag a photo into iPiccy, edit it, and save it back on your computer without having to sign up or download any software, which is just super cool!!! I have used this now, and I like it. Thank you for explaining how to do it!!

Liz and Bill - I think iPiccy is swiftly becoming a favorite for many ActiveRainers.  I also like doing collages every once in awhile.

William - Thank you for the "feature."  It is greatly appreciated!  I watched a great movie via Netflix over the weekend.  It is titled, "The Magic of Belle Isle" with Morgan Freeman.  For those who are writers, are like working with their imagination.  It is a delightful movie to watch.

Joan - Thank you for your kind words!

Rose - I had been using iPiccy for a couple months, since Picnik went away.  But, this weekend I reeally decided to get in there and dig a little more deeply.  It is amazing what this editing tool has to offer.

Alexandra - I have a rainy or cold day list, that I delve into when weather outside is frightful.  When you get one of those days, plow right into it.

Yolanda - That whole Monterey Penninsula area is gorgeous.  I had a brother-in-law, who owned an amazing early California home, near the 9th hole of the golf course at Pebble Beach during the 1970s.  I can remember the family thinking it was outrageous that $250,000 had been paid for it.  It was about 4000 square feet, on an acre of land.  They ended up splitting the land into quarter acre parcels, and today the property would likely be worth in the millions.

Mary - I remember one summer we were experiencing temperatures in the 100+ degree range here in Sacramento.  But over along this stretch of the California Coast, the temps were reaching only into the mid-70s.  It's a delightful place to be.

Than - I know how difficult it can be to get to things we mean to, when times are busy.  Perhaps one day. . .

Patricia - The color of my carpeting is similar to the color of the sky.  I'm going to work with this photo a little more, and then have it printed to canvas.

Elizabeth- I haven't downloaded any of the photo editing programs to my computer.  I always edit on-line and save to my computer.  You save computer space that way.

Steve - Thanks for the kind words and the plusses!

Roy - Your pictures are a testiment to your great creative skills!

Myrl - A beutiful shot indeed. I love Ipiccy but I haven't done a lot on it since I use Photoshop so much.. I guess it's what you get used too. Free is good and you don't have to install anything. A great free program

What a gorgeous photo!  I take a lot of photos and many of them need a lot of editing. I have Photoshop but not the time to learn it. I will definitely check out iPiccy.

Myrl, that photo looks like you have way more than what iPhoto can do. Just found iPiccy and made a collage, and now have to play with it with some other photos. This is just beautiful and definitely frame-worthy. It looks like a hand colored post card from an era gone-by. Sharon
