I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at the record turnout in Florida on primary election day!!! Knowing how miserable the turnout usually is, I was calling and e-mailing everyone I know to remind people of the importance of voting. Perhaps the fact that we had two important state issues on the ballot helped get people out. Whatever it was, I am pleased to report that 41.3% of the state's registered voters turned out! That is the largest turnout since 1988!!!

Now I will be reminding everyone to vote in the November election! Making our opinion known by voting is so very important! I wanted all of you in other states to know that we had a record turnout here in Florida!!!!
