New Year ~ Time to Clear The Clutter
Great idea Dorie. Many of us could use a clutter removal. I think we should also have a clutter removal in our brains and get clear of any negative thoughts. This way we could clean the slate and start fresh both in our homes and in our heads.
The spirit of giving doesn’t have to end in December when the holidays are upon us. It’s a new year and that means it’s time to declutter and make room for the new holiday toys and gifts the kids may have received. Set aside some time to open that closet or lift the lid on that toy box and set a plan in motion:
Sort through the kids toy box for those toys that your children have outgrown but still have a lot of fun left in them.
Many of us have clothing in our closets that no longer fit, or that we simplyhaven’t worn in a while. Clothing donations are always helpful, especially when the colder months are here.
These are just a couple of great ways to help share with others in your area. A few organizations that can pick up items from your home are Goodwill Industries, Arms of Hope and The Ronald McDonald House.
Not only will you have a neater, cleaner home; but the feeling of helping others is one that can’t be beat. And, what an example you’ll be setting for your children!
