The Odenton MD real estate market showed its strength last week in several categories.
This was a surprising recovery and rebounding from the previous week.
Rentals continue to be one of the strengths of the Odenton market. Nine new rental listings came on the market just in time for the Ft. Meade PCS moves.
Ten new resale listings came on the market, shoring up the inventory somewhat in the entire area. Odenton has a nice selection of homes for sale for buyers in all styles and price ranges.
Five listings SOLD and went to settlement during the period 1/20/13 to 1/26/13.
Six listings went under full CONTRACT status, and six listings also went from Active to Contract/NoKickout. This is a terrific indicator of short term activity, and future settlements.
Six properties were rented, and applications were accepted on two others. The rental market continues to outperform.
The current Odenton, MD active inventory is:
- Standard Sales - 53 (an decrease of one from last week)
- Potential Short Sales - 17 (an increase of two from last week)
- Foreclosures/REO - 3 (unchanged)
- Rentals - 34 (an increase of two from last week)

With the combination of resales and new construction sales, the Odenton, MD real estate market continues to remain very active early on now in 2013. Odenton, MD is one of the more active markets in Anne Arundel County.
