EEEeeeekkkkkk! ! !

WHEN GOOGLE GOES ON THE MOVE, IT'S LIKE A HERD OF BUFFOLO THUNDERING ACROSS THE PLAINS OF COLORADO.  See:  Centennial by James Michener

Web site owners are simply "staked out" waiting for the thundering herd.

We know from the rumbling on blogs that it's ongoing.  We begin to dread the impact on our puny presence on the Internet.  Then when you see visible results, all you can say is: OMG, I hope this is it!!  Is it over?  Please tell me it's over."  You hope they don't change anything else.  But, you never know.

You just never know.

The best source of increse in PageRank and Backlinks that I know is ActiveRain.  I get some Google juice from other blogs, but nothing matches ActiveRain for relevant Internet synergy.   My Profile is crawled about every three days.  Got to work on that.

Time for everyone to go check their PageRank and backlinks.

Best of luck.

Whew!!

Lenn, I just so enjoy the way you use the word synergy.  From now until eternity if I hear the phrase "Internet synergy", I will think of you.

Steve.  Thanks.  I just don't know a better word for what we seek to achieve with our Internet strategies.

  • My outside blog is now more powerful than the AR presence.
  • I own the outside blog and have complete control of it.
  • The outside blog offers more than any group platform can or ever will.
  • The outside blog has lead generators on it and bring in more leads than you can imagine.

I still enjoy the social aspect of AR and tell anybody interested in beginning to blog that this is the place to go to learn and get started.  AR and Localism rank quite well on the engines as does my blog and several of the other sites that I am active on.  Last night I owned page one of Google - ALL 10 POSITIONS - over 6 sites; my outside blog, AR and Localism included.

Website positioning is critical the more spots you own at the top, the more leads you will generate.  By all means post to AR and Localism, but what else are you doing to be found Katerina?  How much of a presence is enough?  yahoo homgain homes move realtor movato trulia zillow and more racing up the engines to page one with jet fuel attached to them, and more coming up behind them, how secure is YOUR positioning?

Lenn,

That is totally awesome.

Like Laurie stated above I also have an outside blog and it does real well in fact in some cases much better than my AR blog. I love that I control it...all of it and that the leads coming from it go to me and only to me.

AR is special and I enjoy and have learned so much from being here. I can't imagine not hanging around in the Rain. My Internet position is pretty good and it includes all my sites. I'm pretty happy with it but like everything else in life it is always changing...all the more reason to keep growing and expanding my presence.

Katerina.  Great.  Work the system and the system will work for you.

Laurie.  Your blog is very focused and you have saturated your market.  You own your market on Google.  I like the AR platform because it gives me so much flexibility to cover many market areas in two states.  You are the master.  Most folks just can't manage that kind of saturation.  I get more business from my web sites than blogs.

Pat.  Thanks very much.  This is hard work, but it's fun too.

Monika.  There are many ways to generate business on the Internet.  I have web sites, blogs to feed web sites and a good long term strategy that works for me.

Lenn, I have been wondering where you went for awhile--not posting on ePRO any more.  Glad to find you here-you are my favorite poster of all time.  But how do you have time to go out with any buyers?  I feel like I can either be a techy or a good agent and can't seem to find time for both!!

Linda.  Nice to hear from you.  I unsubscribed from e-Pro months ago.  Maureen Francis invited me to ActiveRain and I haven't been right since.

I generate business on the Internet for a network of brokers and agents.  From time to time, I sell a new home in my neighborhood.

I'm too old and crotchity to be on the road all day every day.  I just take a few good new home buyers.

I love ActiveRain

Lenn- Between my other blog and Active Rain I'm ranking on page one for most search terms in my local market .. Like Laurie my outside blog usually ranks higher then AR for my area.  I paid attention to what and how you and Laurie post and I have benefited greatly.

Hi Lenn, Thanks for that check on my AR site. I was surprised to see that result. I still need to get those local posts up. My realestatetextbook site is hosted by RE Tomato. When I do the Google ranking it still comes up 0. Jim said it takes about 6 months to get it recognized in any sort of ranking. It has been over 9 months and still a big 0. I may need to do more pinging, blogroll linking, more whatever, right? When it comes to SEO , I still don't seen to be doing whatever it takes.

Many Thanks for the check on AR though, that was a pleasant surprise.

I have not spent any time trying to optimize, yet I get a fair number of contacts and leads by them finding me on Active Rain through the search engines.

Lenn Harley typed "OMG" the blogosphere has made a quantum leap. I get good juice here for sure - that's why I focused on it so much at the end of the year. Is your artwork getting better?

Kaye.  That's everyone's goal.  AR helps.

William.  My pleasure.

Randy.  Think of what you could do if you tried.  Although, sometimes it's best to just enjoy the benefits.

Ken.  My artwork will never get better.  It just is.

Krista.  You stumbled on the best plan.  Good for you.

Barbara-Jo & Bill.  Sure.  Google your keywords and then get to work.

James.  Indeed.  AR is also a good training resource for out outside blogs.  Folks keep telling me that they get "more" from their outside blog.  The question is, where did they get the skill to build the outside blog?  Some notable exceptions, Teresa Boardman for example, had a successful blog before AR.  But, most of us, I believe definitely benefitted from the AR experience.

But, certainly, if one spends time working on their outside blog, it will produce.

If one spends time working on their AR blog, it will produce.
