I try to attend the NAR Conference each year. I am always excited to see the new technologies there. Each year I try something new and incorporate it into my business.
I don't often get in over my head, but this year I am looking for some help from my AR family.
Last year in November I found a booth on the exhibition floor for a product called Pixeet. It is a fish-eye lens that allows you to take floor to ceiling pictures and with only four shots, do a 360 degree photo of any room. It is designed to create virtual tours and works specifically with IPhone and IPads although they say the software for Android is on the way. I have a virtual tour software package I am using now but it requires a lot of shots to be stiched together to get a 360 degree photo.
I was very excited about the possibilities and purchased the lens the software was a free download Do click on the link to see their demo on the home page. It is impressive.
I installed the software on my IPad and began taking shots of an apartment at first. I was having a tough time lining up the photos. I went to a friends home who is a real techie for some advice. My results were not good there either.
I finally figured it out at home and got a decent series of shots. The quality of the photographs is really not good at all. I am not sure if it is due to the generation of IPad I have or if I am doing something wrong? I have an IPad three, I believe. I recall hearing when the IPad four came out one of the big upgrades was the camera.
If anyone is familiar with this software and has some tips, I would greatly appreciate some advice.
