I love unusual facts and these special February holidays collected here - well, let's just say I doubt you've ever heard of even one of them. While I'm sure that some are marketing-created events such as Cherry Pie Day or Natinoal Tortilla Chip Day, others are more "real."
For example, Polar Bear Day is usually a day when people go ice swimming!

In years passed, I'm usually the last one to know about these fun holidays. I decided not to let that happen this year. I'm planning ahead! You can also be in the know! Check out my list for the stranger than strange dates, then check out the link to see if I missed anything that should be reported to the masses.
First, the MONTH of FEBRUARY is celebrated for many reasons. Two extremely good reasons to celebrate?! Great American Pie Month AND National Cherry Month. Are there many better reasons to celebrate? If you combine the 2 together, you get a reason to celebrate even more on February 20th*!
I picked out a few good reasons to continue the party DURING the month:
February 11 ~ Don't Cry over Spilled Milk Day
February 20 ~ Cherry Pie Day*
February 24 ~ National Tortilla Chip Day
February 27 ~ Polar Bear Day
