WakeMed Raleigh has a 24 hour adult emergency dept as well as North Carolinas only 24 hour free standing children's emergency department. Raleigh WakeMed is the state-designated trauma center and houses the world famous Heart Center, as well as having Wake County's only Neuro Intensive Care Unit and only inpatient unit dedicated to Neuroscience.
This particular location of the WakeMed family has been named among the top 50 hospitals in the nation in 2006.

With 114 acute beds and the Women's Pavilion and Birthplace - the only birthplace in Cary. All birthing and recovering rooms are private and care is provided around the clock. This is also the location of the Sleep Center, to study the signs and symptoms of Sleep Apnea. With over 40 jobs available, including anything from Cashier/Receptionist, Clinician, Pharmacist, and Radiology Technologist, to Ultrasound Technologist. Construction on additional areas has been in progress for some months, so anticipate even more job openings at this Cary NC hospital soon!

The Apex location with have its Grand Opening celebration Sat February 2, 11am-3pm, with a ceremony at noon and the doors will officially open on Monday February 4th. With a stand alone 24/7 emergency dept for kids and adults, 12 treatment rooms, two private triage rooms and state of the art monitoring, this long awaited facility is going to be well received by local residents.
