Today started out as many others. I got up early, took care of the pets and if I'm not working that particular day, I try to do my errands early. I had quite a few lined up today and am still cleaning up for The Chinese New Year next week. Thankfully I was home early as well because I received a phone call I WOULDN'T HAVE WANTED TO MISS!
It was from a Producer of a Radio Station on FM Radio that airs in both New York City and Long Island. She explained who she was and since I wasn't familiar with the Station, explained that every Saturday morning on their Radio Broadcasts they have different topics. They are doing a show about Interior Design and oftentimes some guests are interviewed while others come on and read their blog posts. She wanted to incorporate Feng Shui into Interior Design and I was asked if I would like to read a particular post.
I went to the post that she said she particularly liked which was back in July! She must have done quite a bit of reading to get back there but there was one she thought the audience would enjoy. The particular post speaks of Activerain as well as Feng Shui. Further, in listening to an archived broadcast she sent me where someone read their blog, they do tell the audience the blog site's name. I am thrilled of course and had to ask her how she found me. She told me she did a Google Search on "Feng Shui Blogs" and it brought me right up!
I am TRYING not to get too excited at the moment. I have an appointment for next week that I need to try and reschedule and I need to go to the Bronx to read my post. I am not fond of driving into the area because I am not at all familiar with it but I'm ‘working on it.'
I have had more then a few Activerain Success Stories including having written about the fact that Activerain is currently attracting more clients then my website (which has very high placement). People will read something I've written and it will strike a cord with them....and in the comments I received I see that it's generating more business for MANY of us. That post was apparently written while some negativity was going on in the Rain. Unfortunately, I find it cropping up again and again. So here's a heartfelt "tip" for my fellow bloggers: People are reading us far and wide and "Members Only" posts mean nothing. Did you happen to notice that the people claiming the most success with AR are people that are NOT posting any negative issues? They may generate comments but they DO NOT attract clients to you. People LOVE reading all things positive! I know I do.
One last thing to mention: The date I will be going in if I can arrange everything is February 7th. Does it ring a bell for anyone? It's the Chinese New Year! (I TOLD you those things I posted about work)! Please wish me luck that I can manage to change my appointment and make it out to the Bronx! And if I do you can be sure I'll announce it right here!
