When we first found our home at 8131 Mission Hill Pl, we were attracted to the quiet peaceful atmosphere in addition to the home itself. We have a great location that is convenient without all the bustle of Columbia. The lack of outside maintenance was very appealing to us and we also liked the newness as we purchased directly from the builder.
The home had all the features we were looking for and so much more. The room sizes are spacious and the high ceilings make it feel even bigger. I fell in love with the huge kitchen
area with the large island and all of the abundant cupboard storage that it afforded me. I spent a long time selecting all of the options and I loved the rich colors that we chose. There is so much counter space that my entire family can help cook the big family meals that we have together.
We really love to entertain and all of our friends and family are very comfortable with all the room that we have in our home. We enjoy having dinners in our refinished dining room with recess lighting, which also gives a perfect romantic atmosphere in smaller groups too. The family room is perfect to enjoy the fireplace on cold nights and on warmer days we have our coffee out on the deck
Upstairs the master bedroom is my sanctuary. I have plenty of room for all of my clothes in the large walk in closet. In the morning it is a delightfully sunny room. The master bathroom is also generous in proportion. Unlike many other townhouses the 2 other bedrooms are good sizes and not small and cramped. Another feature that I love is that my washer and dryer are on my bedroom level too.
In the three short years that we have lived here we've improved on the home by painting all of the rooms with an elegant neutral palate. We have also added details such as stone on the wall of the fireplace, the french doors into the kitchen/family space, crown molding in the living, dining and master bedroom, chair railing in the bathroom and hallway, a Victorian column to separate and define the living and dining space, molding around each window, recess lighting in dining area and enormous mirrors and molding on accent walls. We like the details and we hope you do too.
Location, location , location. As much as we love our home we really love the close proximity to all of the great restaurants, shopping, parks and movie theaters that Columbia has to offer.
