CRAIG- can I get it on Kindle?????
Craig, I agree there is nothing quite like holding an actual book in my hands. I don't have a Kindle.... I suppose I will break down someday. I actually don't even like to read long ebooks online. I prefer to have them in my hands, on paper.... shame on me.
Don't tell anyone, ok?
Hello Craig,
I've fought it the last several years, but I do use my tablet to download books...and I still buy them the old fashioned way too!
We are so fortunate to have a local bookstore that is the annual site of John Grisham's first book signing for his new books...great communit resource
Wow, what are the odds! I just posted a great book post today! You gotta read it and pass it along!!
Still the Cheapest way to travel is within the mind...Books remain the ticket
I have some books on my iPad, and it's okay. But nothing can take the place of a REAL book in your hands. ☺
You're absolutely right. I need to get back to reading. There are a few half finished books in my nightstand. Great localism post!
We have Mr. K's Books in Charleston. Think Barnes & Noble inventory, Goodwill prices! It's the happiest place on earth ;)
I am old fashioned...like the feel of pages between my fingers. Heard that your book might be heading to the NY best sellers list.
Craig, love this post about books. I have a few hundred books at home...love the touch, smell and look of them.
Great post. I am presently reading Safe Haven, by Nicholas Sparks. They filmed the movie version here in our little resort town of Southport..NC.
I am looking forward to seeing the movie..
Kathy - That defeats the whole purpose!
Andrea - I have books on my iPad and it's really nice to have the convenience of dozens of books at your fingertips. But there's nothing like the real thing.
Lisa - I'm doing the same thing Lisa. I'm doing the same thing.
Wallace - How cool is that? Grisham is such a prolific writer.
Kristin - I saw your post and loved it! What are the odds?
Roger - Well said my friend of few words!
Richie - Very prophetic Richie. Very prophetic!
Joni - Exactly! There's nothing like the real thing!
Jan - Thanks Jan. I too have a few half read books lingering around my place. With a cruise coming up in March, I'm thinking I'll get to them then.
Audrey - I get the analogy! And I like it! Gotta love the local little guy!
Sarah & Les - The day I stop getting rejection letters and make it to the NY Times bestseller list, I'll send oyu an autographed copy!
Nick - Thank you sir. I have my collection and I keep bringing them from home to home as I move. I'll never let them go!
Ginger - So cool when a book is filmed in your hometown. Luckily I lived in NYC for a long time and got to see a lot of those books being brought to the big screen.
I love reading real paperback books. We have a Kindle and I like it but actually picking up a book and being able to highlight things is great... I highlight books and when I reread them I only read the highlights.
This book reminds me of the ones you might find on a night table in a motel room. Happy reading!
Good to see all the book stores available in the Raleigh area. There really is nothing like gettting lost in a good book. Great information to have for the area!
What other good reads do you guys recommend? I think, I should consider downloading this book from ibook too.
