A rather brief description for a profession that demands and requires much from an individual, if performed well and correctly.
Being a mortgage originator myself, and having been in the mortgage business for over 35 years ... I believe I have come to have my own definition of what a good "mortgage originator" truly is. The words ... educated, licensed, intelligent, patient, personable, good communicator, integrity, caring and many many more come to mind.
During my years in this business, I've been lucky enough to meet the rare person fitting that description. I've been lucky enough to work alongside and in tandem with a few of them as well. In my book, all the definitions I share above should come with a picture of Paul McFadden next to it. He is the epitome of what a good mortgage originator should be. And I'll add, I don't know many that are more kind and generous with their time and talents. These days it's rare to find a man that fits the old-fashioned concept of "gentleman".
