Strawberry Trifle

This is my husband's absolute favorite dessert and it's so easy to make. You'll need a clear glass bowl and:

1 large frozen Sara Lee Pound Cake, thawed

1 24 ounce container of frozen sliced strawberries, thawed

1 large package of Vanilla cook and serve pudding

1 container of Cool Whip

Fresh Strawberries (in season)

The night before, I put the pound cake and frozen strawberries into the fridge to thaw.

Prepare the pudding and let cool. Slice the pound cake into 1" slices. Into the bowl, place  alternating layers of pound cake, strawberries and pudding. Top with cool whip and place fresh strawberries on top. Cover and refrigerate until you're ready to serve.  Enjoy!

Lean Cuisine? I'd starve! Dessert sounds yummy! I used to live in Tampa which is very near Plant City, FL where lots of strawberries come from. Guess what??? They have a huge Strawberry Festivalevery year around harvest time. Know when that is??? End of February!!! Maybe BLR Guy could send some strawberries your way!

Trifles are so good :)  I make one (or 2!) every December when my husband's family all gets together. Another variation is to use brownies, chocolate pudding, and cool whip.

Hi Jennifer, I can imagine how good brownies and pudding would be together! I've made this with peaches as well and it's really good too. Thanks for stopping by.
