Spring is on it’s way! Thank you Punxsutawney Phil!
An end to winter will come soon, according to the famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil. Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his hole today in Pennsylvania, Feb. 2, 2013 and did not see his shadow.
Predictions each year are made by the groundhog determined by whether he sees his shadow. If he sees his shadow, winter will last six more weeks. If he doesn't see his shadow, it is believed that spring will come early.
This year we have a WINNER! Spring is on it’s way!
Of course, the ground hog’s predictions are not always right. Last year he twarned people to prepare for six more weeks of winter. It was later determined that January to June 2011 as the warmest seven-month period since the 1800’s.
