Groundhog Day 2013: No Shadow? Better Call Your Realtor!

Groundhog DayGroundhog Day 2013: No Shadow? Better Call Your Realtor!Punxsutawney Phil predicts springs early arrival with no shadow appearing when his weary body was  from abruptly pulled from his toasty warm burrow early this morning. Don’t let springs arrival abruptly greet you unprepared to buy or sell real estate. In todays market, being prepared is the key to a strong real estate transaction.

Groundhog Day is all about fun! Winters bitter temperatures and long dark nights leaves many of us dreaming about springs warmth, bright colors and sunshine. Predicting the weather is just as difficult as predicting  the real estate market, however, some things are certain. Spring will be here before we know it and the real estate market will be the the most improved in five years if the current trend continues.

If buying or selling real estate is on your to do list this spring, here are a few reasons to give me a call. In the areas I work (Carroll, Baltimore, Frederick, Howard & Harford Counties):

  • Inventory is down.
  • Home prices are on the rise.
  • Days on the market are down.
  • Ratio of average sold price to original list price is up.

Love the clip art and message, too! Reblogged with this intro...Looks like there are some nice positive tips in this post. Inventories down and prices on the rise? I definitely do notice the inventories down! Days on the market on the decrease? That's a good Spring path! Ratios improving? Yes!
