Just walking into the bathroom it was not hard to see that there was a problem, but there was a new carpet cleverly cut and placed to "cover" over things. And pulling away the carpet ...
Now, there is so much going on here it is hard to begin.
But even though carpeting is covering things up, it's hard to miss a toilet leaning backwards at 20 degrees, and a floor that is sticking up and buckling underfoot.
There were towels piled on the floor in front of the toilet.
The tile on the wall felt crunchy under that "waterproof" sealer they put over it - commonly known as wallpaper.
It's hard to know if the people are trying to deal with the problems, or wanting to hide them.
I'm not going to judge.
All I know is that this bathroom needs a complete make over.
Likely starting with the structural joists underneath.
Hardwood flooring in a bathroom just may not be the best floor covering one can choose.
And this stuff has been there for a long time.
It was a set up for disaster pretty much from installation.
Carpeting and towels over top aren't going to solve any of the problems however.
My recommendation: toilets work best when level and wallpaper is not the best shower covering. Peaking into a bathroom is sometimes all it takes to know if it is healthy or not.
