Active Rain Spotlight
RE/MAX Hall of Fame member George Tallabas, Associate Broker, is being spotlighted today for several reasons. One, he is my friend that I have come to know well due to ActiveRain and all it provides. Many would agree that one of the biggest pay-offs from blogging within the ActiveRain community would be the lasting relationships you build among other like minded professionals. George has been that and then some since I began my journey with Activerain.com in August, 2007. Two, George has been doing real estate since 1980 and is outstanding in his field, holding the Platinum Club member with RE/MAX Advantage in Nampa, Idaho, Boise and surrounding areas.
George has become a recognized blogger and
contributes much of his recent online success to the members of ActiveRain that
have helped him become a better writer, have paid it forward and encouraged him
to better his skills with SEO and other techniques that produced a stronger
online presence with his personal website

Thirdly, George has been awarded a top honor with RE/MAX that he will be awarded
at the 2008 RE/MAX International Convention in Las Vegas - celebrating the
35th Anniversary Monday, March 3 through Thursday, March 6, 2008. The Hall of Fame is awared to RE/MAX agents that have reached a million dollars in commissions in their career with RE/MAX!!
Come March will give us both the
opportunity to finally meet face to face and finally put a face to the voice
after he has himself paid it forward to me in so many ways. Though I am not with
RE/MAX I am going to be in the area and wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to
meet up with mine and your friend.

Also, most recently in the December 2007 issue of the RE/MAX Times George was featured with an article he wrote for his blog titled,
"If I Knew Then, What I
Know Now," and shared his thoughts about his experience of being a new agent then and what he would be doing now if he was a new agent! If you get a chance to check out George's blog you will find valid, strong and informative content that has been tried and tested tips that would help any real estate agent, new and old.

He gives much of the credit to the many Active Rain members that have helped him improve and transform his Active Rain profile, those that have coached him on understanding rich keywords, for using stronger content on his blog posts, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tips that has resulted in 11 referrals and seven closed transaction sides through his Active Rain blog between June and October 2007. "Blogging is the most powerful move I've ever made," says George. Like George, I have also have befriended many new friends that are working through the real estate market and learning to adapt and change. I also have found that everyone that I have encountered on Active Rain has been more than willing to 'pay-it- forward' and offer up their help, including George. Blogging within the Active Rain community not only is helping us all to become better writers, it's providing quality content for the consumers and helping us become qualified professionals on every level, it allows us to build a camaraderie with others that has a bond that seems to be unwavering.
George is one of those members that has obtained success and willing to shared it with others. He has tested his own ideas and is always willing to "pay-it-forward."
