Get Healthy in the Rain-The First 30 Days
I always think the first part of a “diet” or “eating lifestyle change” (whatever you call it) is the hardest…especially the first 7 days. So this morning was my first day of the 60 day challenge.
These are my challenges to become healthier©
- Sleep more hours per night
- Cut out most sugar in my diet
- Stop eating the junk food
- Eat more healthy foods; fruits, grains, vegetables, nuts
- Drink more water and less diet soda
- Exercise daily; walking, running and treadmill
- No snacks after 8:00 p.m.
- Eat Breakfast every morning
- Weigh and measure myself this morning, in 30 days, and 60 days.
- KEEP A JOURNAL….This keeps me accountable.
I am totally concerned with heart disease and cancer. These diseases don’t run in my family but I know what I am supposed to be doing. I video Dr. Oz and watch his show at night. Dr. Oz gives us some good tips on losing weight and become healthier. I personally love his show. Does anyone else watch it?
On February 1st we acknowledged “Go Red for Women” which is a challenge by the American Heart Disease to reduce the deaths of heart disease in women. This is such an important challenge and I am going to whatever I can to keep myself healthy and live a long life.
I have an assortment of video tapes, DVD’s, but have a new DVD player and no one knows how to operate it and we cannot find the instructions. I know that sounds like a lame excuse but I would like to rent a few movies too and cannot figure it out. Our old DVD player was so simple but this one is complicated.
So for the next 30 days, I am going to eat right, exercise every day, drink water, and sleep longer hours and journal my activities. And my three dogs will be happy going for daily walks.
So I will see you in 30 Day- Get Healthy in the Rain.
