My Role at Market Leader
I work for Market Leader as a “community manager,” meaning that I help manage company social media accounts, blogs, outreach programs, and, of course, communication with the ActiveRain community. My job is to ensure that Market Leader engages in conversations with members of the vast real estate community, including people like yourself, so as to ensure that we know exactly what realtor needs are.

Personal Details
I recently graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration and History. I was born and raised in beautiful Olympia, WA and currently reside in the equally-pleasant city of Redmond, WA.
My passions are varied; I enjoy being outdoors (hiking, biking, playing soccer), brewing beer (just finished a tasty golden ale), writing, watching and following professional soccer, and spending time with friends. Reading is something I love but find time to do far too infrequently for my liking; I am currently working on A Song of Ice and Fire: A Game of Thrones and Superfreakomics but I unfortunately have no idea when I will be able to finish them.
My favorite television shows are NBC’s Community and HBO’s Game of Thrones. The title of favorite movie is split between Casablanca and Star Wars: A New Hope.
What I Plan on Posting about on ActiveRain
Expect that I will publish a new blog post on ActiveRain at least once a week on one of the following topics:
- Material posted on the RealEstate.com blog that might be thought-provoking or helpful for real estate agents and their customers. A good example of this type of post is the one I made about RealEstate.com’s Super Bowl appearances vs. real estate prices infographic last week.
- Interesting facts about state or local real estate markets, like the Highest and Lowest Median Home Values in Washington State.
- Intriguing, exotic, or expensive home listings. These posts will include celebrity home listings and (spoiler!) the top island getaways currently on the market.
- Tips for homeowners and real estate professionals. I will focus on home improvement ideas for the former and social media and blogging for the latter.
My Thoughts on ActiveRain
Market Leader holds the community of realtors who interact on ActiveRain in the highest regard, and I cannot adequately express how excited I am to become a part of it. There is no better place on the internet for real estate professionals to meet, share tips, and network; I am looking forward to contributing to the conversation!
