Where did that idea come from?
I see from time to time people asking where do you come up with topics to blog about on ActiveRain. For one thing, I don't get them sitting in front of my keyboard. Rarely, am I close to my computer when a idea comes to mind. So I carry a small notebook and write down the ideas when they come to me. The title usually has to be reworked however usually; that with a couple of keywords can jar my memory.
I don't think you have to write the whole blog piece when it pops in your mind; just some key words or a few notes does the trick for me. As I use each idea; I cross off and date when I used the idea so as not to be repetitive.
There are several other ways I've heard people get ideas for blogs. Some use their smart phones and dictate their whole blog to download later. (this can all so be done with a digital recorder and special software.) I prefer my notebook.
There is no need for writer's block when you have a whole notebook of ideas at your disposal.
