Some people get "earworms".  But more often than not I find myself chasing a musical butterfly.

You know how that goes:  You suddenly remember a few lyrics from a song you heard years ago.  The melody flutters through your mind like a butterfly, and if you don't manage to capture it right then, it is gone.... and you wonder "what was that song?"

This song fluttered by a month or month ago, I didn't manage to capture it then, and it was gone.

Luckily, it fluttered back by a few days ago, and I caught it this time.

Here's the trick:  Google the little snippet of lyrics that you remember, try adding the word "lyrics", and keep trying until you hit on the right song and the right artist.

Anyone else remember the Blues Magoos?  This song, "Sometimes I Think About" was my butterfly.  The video is not of the group performing, but the photos used by the YouTube contributer are evocative and fit the lyrics well.

I wake up singing a song most every day.  The lyrics are pretty telling as to where my mind has been while sleeping.  But I have to admit in all these years and all the songs I wake up with...it was never THAT one :)

Caution: CAT BLOG AHEAD

Including random thoughts on life, art, business, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate.

What is a CAT BLOG?

According to Seth Godin: "Cat blogs are for, by, and about the person blogging. A cat blog is about your cat and your dating travails and your boss and whatever else you feel like sharing in your public diary." Well, I am the boss, my dating years are behind me, but I do love my cats.

Enjoy!
