RESA Staging Conference 2013 Were you there?
This Vancouver Home Stager had a blast at the recent Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) Conference, held in beautiful San Francisco. I have to say first off, that the Canadians rocked the house! We had a large contingent from Canada, from sea to shining sea, and we definitely made our voice heard... even over Texas (Karen Otto...)!! We couldn't help ourselves, and broke into song, with "Oh Canada"!

The RESA Conference is a wonderful way to keep up with staging trends, stay motivated, exchange staging stories with like-minded Stagers, and build our businesses. It was a thrill to have ActiveRain's David Ames, Realtor® at Zephyr in San Francisco, talk to a room full of Stagers, and impart his wisdom and advice on the real estate and staging scene. Together with Jim Colhoun, also a local San Francisco Realtor®, Stagers were able to ask questions on how to create and maintain great relationships with their Realtor®/clients.

If you ever get a chance, you have to hear Terry Watson speak at your next real estate convention. Terry Watson is not only entertaining, but he gets his message across loud and clear. I still have images imprinted in my brain that I will never forget, including a giant monkey on my back that I need to toss off! Repeat after me... "that is NOT my MONKEY!!!". I tried to get a photo of Terry Watson, but he never stops moving! It must be all that coconut water he drinks! There were too many great speakers to mention, but suffice it to say, we were not disappointed.

One of the main reasons I attend the RESA Convention is to reconnect with Stagers I have gotten to know over the years. Where did I first connect with the majority of North American Stagers? Here on ActiveRain, of course! ActiveRain bonds us and lets us get to know each other, even before we've actually met in person. To others it sounds weird, but you know what I'm talking about. Here are some photos of my favourite ActiveRain staging peeps.

The RESA 2013 Staging Conference in San Francisco was all it promised to be and more. If you missed this year, for whatever reason, do yourself and your business a favour, and plan right now to attend next year. You won't be disappointed. A huge thank you to Shell Brodnax for organizing another stellar event. We will see you next year!
